"Mind like Clear Skies" (Seiten no kokoro)

This term refers to a mind that is free of any cloudiness. A cloudless sky often makes our spirits bright. Using the metaphor of fine sunny weather, this term provides insight into making the mind radiant and free from discontent or anxiety. Say the Divine Directions:

Set out to do whatever you must do with a mind as bright as a sunny day. With fine weather, you will be able to accomplish things smoothly. Throughout the world, if the sky is not overcast, the spirit will be bright. . . . Determine to keep the brightness of fine weather in your minds.

Osashizu, August 9, 1888

There are cloudy days and sunny days. There are also days when the mind like clear skies is present.
