50th Children's Pilgrimage to Jiba Begins

The 50th Children's Pilgrimage to Jiba, sponsored by the Church Headquarters, began on July 26. Those children who returned to Jiba for this event scattered around the Home of the Parent after the July Monthly Service to participate in various programs.

Fife and drum corps, formed by members of the Boys and Girls Association, marched in front of the South Worship Hall. The sanctuary precincts and its vicinity were filled with streams of children with beaming smiles.

The first Children's Pilgrimage to Jiba was held 50 years ago. It started as an event for children to engage in earth-carrying hinokishin.

This year's theme is "Gratitude, Joy, Hinokishin."
